My son is learning to play the piano this summer and it amazes me how much he's learned from a half dozen lessons. It seems like most kids learn this way, like sponges soaking up everything they're taught. They seem more open than us grown-ups, and I wonder how much of this is about belief.
Have you ever wanted to do something you didn't think you could do? Whether that belief came from a lack of knowledge and experience or a lack of self-confidence, did it make that thing harder to do? I know that belief has prevented me from even trying.
This week I'm going to be more like my son and just believe that I can. I wonder how much more I will accomplish? What could you accomplish if you believed that you could?
Beautiful quote!
